5k For The Kids

The annual 5K For The Kids takes place over Homecoming weekend on Saturday morning! In partnership with Hope's Alumni and Family Development Office, come run, walk and enjoy a new donut every mile while you support the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital — it’s all for the kids. Our 2023 5k was a cold, rainy success! Keep an eye out for next year's registration in September 2024.

Miracle Family Christmas Party

Every December, Miracle Families, Dream Team, and the Family Relations Committee come together for a Christmas Party. The party includes crafts, conversation, food, photos and sometimes even a visit from Santa!dance marathon christmas party

Silent Auction

The annual Silent Auction at the Haworth Hotel features gift baskets, food, goods, activities, art and gift certificates — all donated by our generous local businesses and individuals in the Holland and Zeeland community. All proceeds from the auction go to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Mini-MarathonS

We are always looking to partner with local high schools to host their own Mini-Marathon for the kids! Mini-Marathons are a 6-hour dance-a-thon structured similarly to Hope’s 24-hour dance-a-thon. ÐÜèÔÚÏßÊÓƵ Dream Team members serve as advisors to the high school mini-marathon leadership team, which often comes from student organizations like Student Senate and National Honors Society. Hope’s first Mini-Marathon was started at West Ottawa High School in 2013, followed by Zeeland East High School beginning in 2017 and Holland Christian High School in 2019.

Dance Marathon

This is the main event! This is ÐÜèÔÚÏßÊÓƵ’s 24-hour dance-a-thon on March 1-2, 2024. Dancers are on their feet for 24 hours as a gesture of solidarity with the children and families they support. Miracle Families, moralers, staff, faculty, alumni and community members all come together to support Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital throughout the event. The event consists of continued fundraising, performances, speakers, the Miracle Families sharing their stories, and plenty of dancing and other activities.
