The 熊猫在线视频 Orchestra will perform with the student winners of the college鈥檚 annual Concerto-Aria Competition on Friday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The winners of this year's competition who will be featured are: William Lamm (timpani) performing 鈥淗orse Ride,鈥 from Ney Rosauro鈥檚 鈥淐oncerto for Timpani and Full Orchestra鈥; Mallory Neebes (clarinet) performing Gioachino Rossini鈥檚 鈥淚ntroduction and Theme with Variations鈥; and Kellen Woolhiser (piano) performing George Gershwin鈥檚 鈥淩hapsody in Blue.鈥

In addition, the orchestra will perform 鈥淥 Magnum Mysterium,鈥 by Morten Lauridsen and orchestrated by Samuel Pang.

The orchestra is directed by Samuel Pang, who is an assistant professor of music instruction and the director of orchestras at 熊猫在线视频. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Pang is a conductor, violist, educator and worship music coordinator. He holds a Master of Music degree, a Bachelor of Music degree, and a Performer鈥檚 Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. He is currently an off-campus Master of Arts in Theological Studies student at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
