The 熊猫在线视频 Great Performance Series will continue its 2022-23 season with the Amsterdam-based Busch Piano Trio on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller for Musical Arts.
Consisting of Omri Epstein, piano; Mathieu van Bellen, violin; and Ori Epstein, cello, the Busch Piano Trio formed while the members were studying at the Royal College of Music in London. Having all been awarded and recognized as renowned musicians on their own, the members of the trio find their bond to have remained strong through their shared passion for music.
The trio鈥檚 program at 熊猫在线视频 will consist of Sergei Rachmaninoff鈥檚 鈥溾楾rio elegiaque鈥 No. 1 in G minor鈥; Charles Ives鈥 鈥淧iano Trio鈥; and Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky鈥檚 鈥淧iano Trio in A Minor, op. 50.鈥
Since forming in 2012, the Busch Trio has regularly appeared on major stages and festivals throughout Europe. The trio has been recognized for its work and received important awards in the Netherlands and Germany: The Kersjes Award and the Ensemble Prize at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival. The musicians鈥 many years of fruitful collaboration with the record label Alpha Classics have delivered notable recordings of the complete works of Dvora虂k and Schubert.
Despite the 鈥渆ffortless musicianship鈥 (The Times) and great emotional sensitivity ascribed to the by the press and their loyal fans, the three musicians say they are guided by the head as much as the heart when playing music.
