After Graduation
Our graduates perform with major opera companies, pursue graduate degrees at high-caliber institutions and direct music programs at churches or in schools. In fact, 95% of our students who complete music education degrees go on to teaching positions after graduation.
By growing as a musician, you will prepare yourself for any job that requires creativity, discipline, critical thinking and teamwork.
So... What Can you do with a music degree?
Our answer: Just about anything.
At Hope, we offer a robust, student-focused music curriculum in the context of a liberal
arts program of recognized excellence. We believe that a well-rounded educational
experience equips you to live in a global society wherever you are called. Graduates from the music department are prepared to be critical thinkers and problem
solvers — on the stage and off.
Our alumni perform with orchestras and opera companies; teach music at all levels, from early childhood to university; run their own recording studios; work in arts administration; lead worship. They have also gone on to medical school, law school, seminary, the Peace Corps, careers in business and occupational therapy. By growing as a musician, you will prepare yourself for any job that requires creativity, discipline, critical thinking and teamwork.
