Special Programs and Opportunities
There are lots of ways to look outside the classroom to enrich your learning at Hope
College.
Off Campus Study
Hope students have pursued environmental science or geology in domestic off-campus programs such as the Oregon Extension as well as abroad in countries such as Iceland, Thailand, Bolivia, Australia and New Zealand. Talk to your academic advisor and stop by the Fried Center for Global Engagement to plan your off-campus study experience.
Internships
If you are interested in an internship in geology or environmental science, contact the internship coordinator at the Career Development Center to begin your search.
Geology Club
The Geology Club is entirely student run. Meet with your peers to plan activities and outings.
Campus Sustainability Committee
Students sit as voting members alongside faculty and administrators on the Campus Sustainability Committee, or Green Team, that meets regularly to promote sustainability at Hope. Help plan events, review campus policies and shape the environmental initiatives the college undertakes.
