Professional Experience
While at Hope, Nicole served for four years as the Residential Life coordinator of Dykstra Hall where she also had the opportunity to co-teach a First Year Seminar course. Prior to Hope, Nicole worked in the Office of Student Life at Grand Valley State University doing leadership development and civic engagement. In addition, she interned at the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Aquinas College and at the Center for Campus Involvement and Leadership at Calvin University.
Why Do You Love Hope?
Nicole loves Hope because of its students. She loves seeing their passion for learning and justice, and their dedication to growth. Nicole also appreciates the connected community of staff, faculty and administrators. She enjoys cheering on students in Hope traditions like Nykerk, the Pull and the Hope/Calvin Rivalry games.
Outside the College
In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time outside (hiking, snowboarding and watching sunsets), traveling, snuggling with her golden retriever named Bentley, and hosting bonfires for friends, family and neighbors with her husband, Paul.
