Outside Scholarships
ÐÜèÔÚÏßÊÓƵ students apply for and receive a variety of financial aid to help fund their college education, including scholarships from third-party organizations, companies and churches.
If you’ve completed your FAFSA and are looking for additional funding to attend Hope College, here are a few good places to search for scholarships:
- Your local community foundation ()
- Fastweb scholarship searches for and
- Niche
- Cappex
It’s also a good idea to talk with your guidance counselor, teachers, pastor, friends and family about scholarship opportunities. You never know who may be aware of a scholarship you’ve not heard about.
If you've been awarded an Outside Scholarship, here are some next steps for notifying Hope and ensuring that the award is properly credited to your student account.

Did you receive an outside scholarship or source of aid beyond what’s in your Hope financial aid award? Please share that information with our Office of Financial Aid as soon as possible.
The best way to do that is to email finaid@hope.edu. You’ll want to include the organization making the award and the amount, plus your date of birth and Hope ID number.
We use many funding sources to make Hope accessible, including:
- grants & scholarships from Hope
- state & federal programs
- outside scholarships
Sometimes receiving one scholarship can change your eligibility for other aid. We will do all we can to maximize your aid, but adding new aid sources can change other elements of your aid package.
When you receive an outside award, the organization will often send the check to Hope. Please have them direct the check to the Business Services Office:
